A little departure: Cold Frame

Following my cousin's footsteps, I've built a cold frame.  It's a neat blend of new 2x6's from the master bedroom project, and an old window that meghan had set aside for a future stained glass project.

The ground outside is actually summer like.  The soil is warm and completely defrosted...strange for early march.

OH ya, it's raining outside, the first for several weeks.  And the smell is that of a long overdue summer rain.  You know that smell.  Hard to describe, but it's there.
