The doors have arrived

[Edit] This beer is really good. Expensive, but good. Innis&Gunn. It's a "Smooth Scottish beer with hints of toffee, vanilla and oak". Yumm. [/Edit]

With visions of doors in hand, we headed off to the Habitat Restore. What an amazing place. Anyways. I focused my search on large, heavy doors with good panels of glass (for new art pieces by Meghan).

I really wanted two, to do a french door style thing. Either on hanging tracks, or both opening on hinges. We kept going back to two solid wood doors, that were around 90 inches tall. One was painted and the other was stained. They came from the same house, and so were perfect candidates. After some chatting and dreaming with the guys there, we took them.

I've sanded the one with stain down, and it's gorgeous. The one with paint is being stripped (soaking) as I type.

Home depot didn't have the hardware to hang the doors, so on Tuesday I'll be checking out Upper Level Doors. Exciting Times!

Oooooo - those doors are gorgeous! I think I may even be drooling :) Can't wait to see the finished product. And thanks for the recommendation - we're always on the lookout for a nice brew! xo
