The biggest smallest thing...

Note: If you haven't seen yesterdays post, I would recommend reading it before this one. And try to guess what my mustard seed blessing is...

And without further ado...

Hi Meghan,

Now that Josh is gone, I won't have anyone to fill my boring periods here at work!

Thanks for Josh and yourself coming last night. Hopefully everyone had a good time. (which I think they did because everyone stayed till 11:00) :)

It's funny how well Josh and myself get along. After we went swimming at your place my brother was saying that I am exactly like Josh. And Josh was just emailing me saying how he told you that he's exactly like me! Weird eh?

Oh well, I guess I should go back to work. Your probably still sleeping right now. :)

If you hear any news about Josh, could you email me?

If you couldn't tell that was the very first email that I ever wrote Meghan. It was completely honest, no other intentions than finding out about Josh... Anyways, Meghan wrote back 30 minutes later...

Subject: Had a great time last night!

Hello Aaron,

Last night was amazing! Thanks for having us! I had the best time that I've had in weeks (maybe even in a month)! Ever since I moved here from Montreal, I've been really missing all of my friends, I even miss my work!

Last night I told Josh as we got into the car that I couldn't wait till next week! Josh said to me that the group of people that we were with last night is exactly the group that he would want to hang out with for many years to come.

You are exactly like Josh! I would know, I've shared an apartment with him for the past two years. They were some of the greatest years of my life. [...]

You were right, when you wrote your email I was still sleeping. But I stayed up reading last night until 2am. Now I'm going to sun tan outside with my book. What kind of books do you like to read?

Well, got to go (Sun tan!!!!),
I'll let you know any changes with Josh, I promise.
See you later alligator,
Meghan

Did you see that??? Did you see how tricky Meghan was? "Making" me write back with the whole "what kind of books..."!

Anyways, my mustard seed blessing is Josh's hernia and email. I was so shy and completely unknowing how to talk to women... Email helped me communicate and Josh's hernia gave me a reason to talk to Meghan. Those two things combined to end up in agape love (and the fact that meghan was totally completely utterly hot (and even more so today!) helped a tad! ;)

As soon as I recognized that first picture as a hernia, I knew what the first two smallest things were. I couldn't figure out the last one though, but after reading your explanation, I assume it means agape? Have you found a record of all that early correspondence? Hope so. Anyway, you mentioned about Meghan saying something that got you to write back to her. But how about the subtle cleverness of that sun-tanning reference! Anyway, so much to be thankful for, even for that hernia, right Josh???

very, very cute! When Jon and I got together, we still didn't have email as a very common form of communication. (At least it wasn't in 1996 in the Neufeld household :)).
