Micah's 1st skating lesson!

[Jan 11'07] Today was Micah's first skating lesson (he's the one in the middle with the red jacket). He has been so excited ever since I signed him up! Every day he would ask me if his skating lessons were that day. We went out to the second hand skate store in kingston and for $50 we got him 'new' skates, neck guard, and a helmet with a face guard! When the teacher was showing them how to get up on their skates from sitting down Micah was the first one up! And the second one, and the third one! He kept falling down, but he would get right back up again (and before any of the other children could get up even once!)! When it was time to get off the ice he threw a fit - much to my embarrassment! It just goes to show how much he enjoyed it! But I did warn him that if he did that again next week, then we wont ever go back! That scared him enough that I know he wont try anything like that again! Lizzy is to young this year, but I'm sure she'll have her moment to shine when mom and dad's lake freezes over (if it ever does!).
